Application Process - Applicant

You decide to be an Apprentice/Trainee
Search advertising media and employment agencies for vacancies Apply to a Group Training Company(GTC)
Send Applications The GTC becomes your employer and the industry organisation is a host employer
Cold call employers The GTC refers you to a proposed host employer
Attend interviews You attend interviews at negotiated times
When accepted you are "hired out" to the host employer
You commence employment
Your Employer and the AAC discuss RTO options
Your training plan is negotiated
The AAC registers your apprenticeship/traineeship
Your employer receives financial incentives for the commencement and completion of an apprentice/trainee The GTC, as your employer, retains the financial incentive payments
Your training plan and work experience is conducted
Your training plan and the time served is completed
The State Training Authority issues a certificate to validate the time served
The RTO issues a qualification certificate or a Statement of Attainment
You can now be employed in a variety of positions within the industry.
